Fence in the lions?

In the last 50 years Africa’s wild lions have fallen by 80% in the last 50 years and could be facing extinction in the next 20-40 years. Conservationists have proposed fencing them, which would cost about $500/ sq. kilometer, which is supposed to be cheaper then maintaining an unfenced area which costs about $2,000/ sq. kilometer. They’ve also said that the fenced off areas in Serengeti and South Africa’s national parks have helped the populations grow and have argued that separating wild lion from humans could be their only hope for survival. As much as I hate the idea of fencing them in…if it helps I’ll back it up. I hope the unfortunate even in Fresno, Ca doesn’t botch this moving forward. Seriously what was she doing there?! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-21695312

About D.Dinius

I am big on education, animals, and nature. So following that sentence I think it's important to be smart and animals and nature bring clarity and a calmness to things. I am new to actually paying attention and having opinions. This has been building well for about the last year. :)
